Have a question about registration or conference activities? We can help! Below we have answered some of the most Frequently Asked Questions about attending the International Conference on Ground Control in Mining.

How do I register to attend the International Conference on Ground Control in Mining?

REGISTRATION WILL OPEN IN APRIL 2024.
You can register online by visiting Register. For additional questions regarding registration for the  International Conference on Ground Control in Mining, please contact SME Customer Service at cs@smenet.org or 303.948.4200. To receive early bird registration rates, SME must receive your registration and payment by June 13, 2024. After July 16, 2024, on-site registration fees apply.

How can I get a copy of an invoice or receipt?

Please send all receipt inquiries to cs@smenet.org or contact SME customer service at 303.948.4200.
You can also view your meeting registrations online and print your registration acknowledgement through your SME profile. Please visit smenet.org/login, use your email address and password on file with SME, and locate My Meetings below My Contact Information on the My Account page. To see registration details, select View Registration next to the corresponding meeting.

If I pre-register, when do I receive my badge and conference materials?

All badges and conference related materials will be distributed onsite at the registration desk located at the Hilton Garden Inn.

What does my full conference registration include?

Conference registration includes access to all of the technical sessions and the networking event including the welcome reception on Monday, networking reception on Tuesday, refreshment breaks and lunches.

The golf event on Wednesday afternoon has an additional registration fee.

When does on-site registration for attendees open?
On-site registration will open on Monday, July 22, 2024 at 6:00 pm, at the Hilton Garden Inn.

 

May I bring a guest to meals and social functions?
All networking events are open to registered attendees only.
How do I register for the Golf Event?

During registration, you can purchase a ticket for the golf event. You will be able to sign up on-site as well, if space is available. Additional details to follow.

How do I change my address or other contact information?

All changes to an attendee record must be submitted in writing to cs@smenet.org.

What is the refund and cancellation policy for conference registration?

If circumstances require you to cancel your 43rd International Conference on Ground Control in Mining registration, you must do so in writing. Written notice must be sent to meetings@smenet.org or by mail to SME Ground Control Conference Registration, c/o SME, 12999 E. Adam Aircraft Circle, Englewood, CO 80112. Cancellations received by June 20, 2024 will receive a refund, less a processing fee of $100. There are no refunds for no-shows and cancellations postmarked after June 20, 2024. Substitutions will be accepted in writing at no charge until June 20, 2024. After June 20, 2024, a $25 fee will be charged for substitutions. NO REFUNDS for Registration will be issued after the June 20, 2024 deadline.

Registrants are responsible for the cancellation of their own hotel accommodations.

How do I reserve housing for the International Conference on Ground Control in Mining?

HOUSING WILL OPEN IN APRIL 2024.
SME has secured a block of rooms at the special rate of $149 plus tax per night. Reservations must be made by June 16, 2024, and are based on availability. For more details, visit Hotel & Venue.

How will PDHs be awarded for session attendance?

A link to record your session attendance will be emailed prior to the conference. Please record your hours and a certificate will be emailed within two weeks of the conference. Hard copies of the PDH form will be available upon request at the registration desk. 1 hour = 1 PDH.
